Band History and Biography (Updated 2022)
N.V.S was formed in early 2020 by Joey Envy and several other members originally as a 5 piece band with a bassist, rhythm guitar, lead guitarist, drummer and singer. NVS rehearsed in the bedroom of Joey Envy with original member Chris Jones who aided in several of the early songs writing such as Failure and N.V.S. The band originally consisted of Bassist Morgan, Rhythm Morgan Bevan and Chris Jones on lead with Joey singing.
Rehearsals were done without a drummer for a long period to build up our chemistry as a band, through general lack of commitment. Eventually the two Morgan's left as well as Chris J due to University commitments, with Slippy Sammy joining the scene who accidently was featured in the Where Is She video only to then eventually join the band on bass. Another Chris was then joined into the band on Lead who originally claimed he could play drums to get his entry into the band as he knew we needed a drummer, ending up on lead as we knew he could play guitar from college. Shortly prior the amazing Raccoon was found through drummer advertisements becoming an integral member and part of the band as well as Slippy Sammy, the band had now found a good line-up.
N.V.S rehearsed during the early stages of the pandemic in Sound Haven Studios Swansea, promoting and releasing their early singles on Social Media building up their Instagram fanbase and Spotify viewership whilst other bands struggled. Building our image, selling some early merch designs and emphasising our belief in the old-school sound and image of Punk in the 70's N.V.S wrote around 25 songs during this period still due to be released, some of which feature on the Debut Album now released Well Behaved Punks
All 9 Original Singles apart from How's Harvey and Banned from the Pubs were written and played and produced completely by Joey Envy with Chris J featuring minimally on some. The line-up consisting of Joey Envy, Slippy Sammy, Raccoon and Chris K featured on Banned from the Pubs and How's Harvey on the recordings. The first of which were recorded by Todd Campbell in Pontypool As time went on Chris K left the band and our communication was cut due to personal issues amongst the members leaving the band with its only working gigging line-up Joey Envy, Raccoon and Slippy Sammy. The most consistent and hard working
members of N.V.S. Making their debut gig at the Flying Pig Pub in Ystalyfera Wales they played loud Punk rock to the regulars of the pub and received a mellow applause which believe me is an achievement there. To the bands surprise they did have a good turnup from their social media fans they had connected with throughout the previous year. Afterwards NVS's first notable gig was their headline and sole act at the Duke receiving a turnout full of fans connected with on Social Media playing a long set of old school 70's Punk. N.V.S have since made massive strides and gone on to play with notable bands such as Sham 69, The Oppressed, Pizza Tramp and the Sex Pistols Expose/Experience which Joey Envy features in as Sid Vicious.
To the present day N.V.S have now released their Debut Album with their pisstake cover in fun Punk spirit consisting of 6 Studio Masters of Previous Singles and 10 Brand new songs. The album is a nostalgic trip back to the classic sound of the 70's as well as the image, attitude and spirit of the members of the band.
N.V.S will continue to release more music and intend to expand our playing range. We live for our fans and gigs and our passion for the continuation of the old style of the music industry will continue.

Joey Envy/Joe Mort sometimes known as 'Sid' is the sole founding member of N.V.S, after taking his initial inspiration
from The Cure's song 'A Forest' which inspired him to play guitar at the age of 14 he later went on to find bands such
as Slaughter and the Dog, The Lurkers, The Skids, Buzzcocks, GBH, The Jam, Stranglers, The Sex Pistols and more.
He founded N.V.S when sudden live events caused him to be enraged and filled with motivation to try achieve his dreams.
He would write the songs in his room and show to others in an attempt to find like minded musicians like himself who
shared his Punk vision.
Writing most/all of the songs and playing solely on the first six releases. Distorted Pistols Tone with a GBH strumming
Rythym and a Buzzcocks, Rock and Roll Eddie Cochran style soloing technique as described.
He is the main front man, guitarist, songwriter and promoter of N.V.S
Loud distorted guitar, spiked hair and a leather jacket the man who holds the show.

Sammy Tayler more commonly known as Slippy Sammy as named after his clumsy stance and slippery nature. He is the right
hand man in the band and became a prominant and well valued member after he was found in the infamous Pub the Duke in
Neath. Improving massively on his musicians and bass playing ability since joining the band. His similarity in taste,
style and knowledge of the Classic Punk and his likemindedness for a raw sound made him the perfect fit for N.V.S.
Sporting the same style, aesthetic as Joey Envy as those before him did in the 70's which is where their inspiration
derives. Slippy Sammy the only working Bass player and main backing vocalist featuring on How's Harvey and all bass tracks
on the Debut Album Well Behaved Punks. Poppy, downpicked, high treble, low slung bassplaying style as sported by right hand
man.
Slippy Sammy.
Harvey Watmore more commonly known as 'Raccoon' a popular and well commended member of the N.V.S Punk Clan, he is the
only working drummer to ever feature in the band playing on How's Harvey, Banned from the Pubs and all tracks on
Well Behaved Punks. He became a well valued member during late 2020 when he was found through an online advertisement.
He became great friends and a very humorous and wholesome character amongst the fans and the band. At the end of every
live show, he is gave thanks by the members because at the end of the day without our beloved drummers, the show
can never go on. Sporting a 70's style aeshetic as the other members do with a heavy, Philthy Animal Motorheead, GBH
style drum sound played extremely tightly with a slight Ramones influence within NVS. He is influenced by metal bands
utmost prior to the band but when it comes to N.V.S he becomes the hard hitting loud Punk drummer you see before you.
